Then maybe the elitist left would stop referring to themselves as the "educated class" and stop pretending that anyone who disagrees with them is a benighted, empty-headed, ignoramus, ignorant, illiterate, inerudite, know-nothing, lowbrow, uncultivated, uncultured, uninstructed, unlearned, unlettered, unread, unrefined, unschooled, untaught and untutored follower.
